Sam England will hope for a nice spin from his seven-year-old who carries a big 12-0 which puts the horse at a disadvantage to the majority of the field, although the horse does have a rating of 145 and can’t be discounted. The runner was able to triumph over three miles and one furlong at Aintree to recently win a handicap chase race.

Captain Tommy goes off much less weight for trainer Ian Williams and the nine-year-old might prosper when carrying 9-9, while Jaytee has scored successive wins coming into this race. They were facile encounters at Southwell in small fields and it remains to be seen whether the horse is able to perform in more esteemed company here.

2022 Uttoxeter Summer Cup Tips

Francky Du Berlais is a nine-year-old with bags of experience and it will be interesting to see whether this horse goes off favourite to win the bet365 Summer Cup. Interestingly, the runner has already been successful at Uttoxeter before, claiming the spoils in the 61 Deep Pale Ale Staffordshire Plate Handicap Chase on 30 April and that was over three miles.

However, the horse was less impressive when finishing second last at Ffos Las recently and perhaps there is better value to be found elsewhere. Streets of Doyen is an interesting contender who comes over from Ireland and the horse finished a creditable sixth in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown Park.

Neville’s Cross won on his last appearance of the season to date, with the seven-year-old delivering when it came to a handicap chase at Kempton Park. Over three miles on good ground, there was plenty to like about a performance which saw him topple Danny Kirwan and Twenty Twenty.

Sirobbie has already raced seven times this season and the latest of these was in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon where the David Bridgwater-trained runner was able to oblige as the 5/2 betting favourite. Previously to this was a very solid performance when finishing third in the Challenger Stayers Hurdle Series Final Handicap Hurdle and he could be a good each-way wager.

Exelerator Express is trading at another backable each-way price and the horse was notably impressive when winning at Aintree in May after being sent off as the 11/4 favourite. The horse won narrowly over three miles and one furlong on the Mildmay Course, with the horse then finishing third in the Perth Gold Cup.

Sizing Cusimano is another horse that won on his previous outing and the Joe Tizzard-trained runner isn’t without a chance based on a twenty-seven length victory at Newton Abbott, while Kildisart was last seen running in the Aintree Grand National and has run at much higher levels before.
