Royal Ascot 2026 takes place between Tuesday 16 June and Saturday 20 June. This is a prestigious five-day meeting which is the highlight event on the UK racing calendar. There are a spate of Group One encounters, including the Queen Anne Stakes, King Charles III Stakes and St James’s Palace Stakes on Day One of the meeting.

We also have the Prince of Wales’s Stakes and Royal Hunt Cup on Day Two, with the Gold Cup always the showcase encounter on the third day of the meeting. The Commonwealth Cup and Coronation Stakes take pride of place on Day Four, with the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes and Wokingham Stakes among the top races on the Saturday.

We’re always excited by the prospect of a five-day meeting at Royal Ascot. We’re getting closer to the 2025 showdown, with the action starting on Tuesday 16 June. For each day, there will be several high-quality encounters, with customers able to land free bets and price boosts for the big races. Compare the latest odds for all the top encounters.

Day One – Tuesday 16 June

The Royal Ascot 2025 meeting will begin in time-honoured fashion with the Queen Anne Stakes. This is a one-mile encounter and the latest betting is wide open, with Rosallion and Dancing Gemini among the leading contenders. Richard Hannon trains the former who was third last time out, while the latter has landed two victories this term.

The King Charles III Stakes is another Group 1 encounter, with this being a five furlong dash and there’s no obvious favourite. Asfoora is a six-year-old who is among the favourites, with Believing and Regional the other contenders who are near the top of the market.

There’s also the St James’s Palace Stakes where Field Of Gold looks set to take all the beating. The horse is trading at shorter odds than the rest of the contenders, with Henri Matisse able to score a couple of victories this term and the runner could be a good each-way shout.

Day Two – Wednesday 18 June

There’s a couple of notable races on Day Two of the meeting, with this including the Prince of Wales’s Stakes. Economics can’t be easily discounted, with the William Haggas-trained charge having already landed several victories during a short career. Los Angeles is entered for this race and Aidan O’Brien’s horse could be a credible each-way selection.

The Royal Hunt Cup takes place over the distance of one mile. My Cloud has achieved successive victories this season and is among the favourites. However, the betting market is wide open and there could be a bold run from Skukuza. Roi De France and Bullet Point are others for the shortlist.

Day Three – Thursday 19 June

The Ascot Gold Cup takes centre stage on the middle day of Royal Ascot. This is a historic encounter run over two miles and four furlongs. It’s no surprise to find that Aidan O’Brien has a couple of market leaders and the Irish handler therefore stands a good chance of securing a victory.

Kyprios is an experienced campaigner and the seven-year-old has been racking up the victories in the past couple of seasons. Illinois is his younger adversary that could well battle it out with his stablemate in this test of stamina. Jan Brughel and Sweet William are other horses with a lively chance of notching a success.

Day Four – Friday 20 June

The Commonwealth Cup is a Group 1 encounter run over six furlongs on Day Four of the Royal Ascot meeting. Shadow Of Light stands a good chance for trainer Charlie Appleby, with the three-year-old having made a solid seasonal debut when finishing third. However, Babouche is trading at a similar price. The horse was able to score last time out and could be an each-way bet to nothing.

There’s also the Coronation Stakes where the market leaders include Lake Victoria. The three-year-old could only manage a sixth-placed finish at Newmarket in the 1000 Guineas although that had been preceded by a Juvenile Fillies Turf success in the Breeders Cup. There were also successes at Newmarket and The Curragh.

Day Five – Saturday 21 June

Day Five of the 2025 Royal Ascot meeting includes a couple of prominent races, with the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes being one of them. Lazzat is the current favourite although it’s a wide-open encounter, with Inisherin, Kind Of Blue and Believing being other horses that could be worth considering from an each-way point-of-view.

The Wokingham Stakes is another notable encounter, with William Haggas training More Thunder who looks virtually certain to go off as favourite. The four-year-old has bagged successive wins this season, with Aramram having finally ended a spate of runner-up performances when triumphing last time out.
