2025 William Hill Handicap Hurdle Tips

Impose Toi is likely to go off favourite for the William Hill Handicap Hurdle, with the seven-year-old having run very well in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. The Nicky Henderson-trained runner was able to finish second in a highly competitive race, with this coming after a success at Newbury and this looks like a solid each-way selection.

Be Aware was eighth in the Coral Cup, with the 3/1 favourite finishing outside the places although there was previously a strong showing at Ascot in December, with the horse finishing third and that came after being second at Cheltenham in November. However, some punters might instead prefer the chances of Kopeck De Mee who has won this term.

The five-year-old was way off the pace in the Martin Pipe Conditional race, with the 5/2 favourite having tailed off in that Cheltenham encounter. There was previously some strong form shown in France although that form is unknown compared to other contenders, with Navajo Indy having won at Bangor and Newbury before solid efforts at Windsor and Newbury.

Jurancon also has strong credentials and the horse has won three of his five encounters this season, with the six-year-old having landed consecutive successes ahead of Aintree. There was a win at Newbury at the beginning of March, with this coming after a previous win at the same course and the horse hasn’t been out of the first two.

2024 William Hill Handicap Hurdle Tips

There will be twenty-two runners battling it out in the William Hill Handicap Hurdle and virtually every horse is available at a double figure price. Olly Murphy trains Go Dante and we’ve seen this charge land two victories already this term. The latest of these came at Sandown in February where Faivoir was beaten by a nose.

That Imperial Cup success was achieved over two miles on soft ground and it will be interesting if Go Dante can fare well over a longer trip. He was third out of twenty-one runners in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury, with the horse finishing six lengths behind Iberico Lord on heavy ground.

Jango Baie hasn’t been out of the first two this season and has to be considered for the shortlist here. There was a second-placed finish at Kelso in the Premier Novices’ Hurdle and the horse returns to an Aintree track where he was able to achieve a success when winning a Novices’ Hurdle back in December.

Kateira could go well for Dan Skelton and there’s also Making Headway who has a couple of victories on the board this term. Finishing fourth in the Imperial Cup was a solid outcome and that came after a win at Newbury when fending off twelve other competitors. However, the horse has plenty to find after finishing a long way behind Jango Baie at Aintree.
