Zahrann is another prime contender who scored in mid-August when obliging by two lengths in a race over one mile and two furlongs. This came after a runner-up effort at Royal Ascot.

It was a close run thing in the King Edward VII Stakes when the runner was just behind favourite Amiloc, with the previous outings resulting in successes at Leopardstown and Cork.
