Flying Scotsman Stakes Betting Odds

There could be as many as twenty-two runners lining up for the Flying Scotsman Stakes. This is a seven furlong encounter taking place at Doncaster Racecourse on Friday afternoon. There are lots of possible winners of this race, with Catullus running for Charlie Appleby and the performances have been improving over the course of the season.

Do Or Do Not has run many times this season, with Ed Walker training this runner and the same handler has Northern Champion lining up in this encounter. Cape Orator has also racked up a couple of successes, with Hankelow and Pacific Avenue also good each-way candidates. There’s going to be price boosts available for this showdown.

2025 Flying Scotsman Stakes Betting Tips

There’s going to be a seven furlong dash at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday, with Catullus an interesting runner. We saw the two-year-old make his bow at Newmarket when finishing third out of twelve before a runner-up spot at Sandown Park a couple of weeks later. Then came a maiden stakes victory at Yarmouth although it was a fully expected win at short odds.

Do Or Do Not has run no less than six times and still remains without a win. However, the Ed Walker-trained charge has been in the frame on a regular basis. The latest effort came at York towards the end of August, with that coming in the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes. That came after a third-placed finish in the Group 2 Coral Vintage Stakes at Goodwood.

Northern Champion also runs for Ed Walker and can’t be easily discounted, with the two-year-old having turned out once and this was a successful outing at Deauville. The 17/5 favourite was able to triumph in the Arqana Series des Poulains, with that being a one-length success in what was regarded as a competitive encounter.

Cape Orator has been successful on two occasions this term. Ralph Beckett saddles a horse that was seen scoring at Deauville in mid-August, with that coming over six and a half furlongs. There was also a success on the all-weather at Kempton Park back in June, with the runner making a solid debut at Newbury to kick off the season.

2024 Flying Scotsman Stakes Tips

There could be seventeen runners lining up in the Flying Scotsman Stakes, with the race scheduled to go off at 2.25pm on Friday 13 September. Chancellor was successful at Doncaster last time out after fending off three other rivals, with the horse previously finishing third out of five runners at Ascot.

Jonquil is difficult to judge after just one outing thus far, with Sir Michael Stoute training a runner who was able to score at Sandown last time out. Over seven furlongs, the horse was able to score in a maiden stakes, with Symbol Of Honour having a victory sandwiched in between two sixth-placed finishes.

Charlie Appleby’s horse was able to perform well in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot when competing against twenty-one other runners, while this came after a Maiden Stakes victory at Lingfield. Monumental also looks interesting and Aidan O’Brien saw his horse land the spoils last time out.

There was everything to like about his effort at Gowran Park, with that victory coming in early September. That came after a second-placed finish at the Curragh, with King Of Cities another prospect who looks each-way value. Richard Hannon trains a runner who was able to claim the spoils at Chester towards the end of August.
