Celebration Chase Betting Odds

There could be a big field lining up in the Celebration Chase on Saturday although this race could be all about one horse. Jonbon has been racking up the wins this season and the nine-year-old has been installed as strong favourite to land the spoils in this Sandown Park encounter. He could prove too strong for the rest of the field, although there are other solid contenders.

Impaire Et Passe has won three of the previous four encounters this season and looks sure to run well for Willie Mullins. The Irish handler also has Energumene who is an old trooper who is still capable of producing a top performance. We might also see Il Etait Temps in the final shake-up and it will be interesting to see how the betting market pans out.

2025 Celebration Chase Victory

There’s going to be a high class race taking place at Sandown Park on Saturday. Jonbon has claimed four wins in his five races this term, with the latest triumph coming at Aintree in the Melling Chase where the 4/6 favourite was able to oblige. However, the horse fell short in the Queen Mother Champion Chase when only finishing second.

That defeat to Marine Nationale illustrated a chink in the armour and it was an eighteen-length reverse on that occasion. Previously to that, there was a win at Ascot in the Clarence House Chase, with the horse also being the eight-length winner of the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown Park in December, so he’s definitely the one to beat.

Impaire Et Passe has claimed three wins from four outings this term. The seven-year-old was able score at Aintree in early April. The victory in the Manifesto Novices’ Chase came over two miles and four furlongs. That was a return to form after only finishing third out of six horses at Leopardstown, with the horse running in the Ladbrokes Novice Chase.

Energumene continues to run at the ripe old age of eleven, with Willie Mullins having seen his charge pulled up last time out. That was in the Queen Mother Champion Chase after previously finishing six and a half lengths behind Jonbon in the Clarence House Chase at Ascot. There was a ten-length success at Cork in December.

2024 Celebration Chase Tips

Willie Mullins has a strong chance of landing a success in the bet365 Celebration Chase, with El Fabiolo returning to the track after a disappointing time in the Queen Mother Champion Chase. The horse was sent off as the 2/9 favourite but made a bad mistake earlier in the race and will now aim to bounce back with a victory at Sandown Park.

There was previously everything to like about a succession of performances including a triumph at the Dublin Racing Festival where the horse was able to comfortably win the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase. Previously to this came a triumph in the Bar One Racing Hilly Way Chase when triumphing over two miles, half a furlong.

However, there are some viable contenders in the race including Jonbon. Nicky Henderson’s horse was withdrawn from the Queen Mother due to concerns about horses in the yard last month, although the eight-year-old was able to recover by landing a success at Aintree when winning the Melling Chase over two miles, four furlongs.

Gaelic Warrior is another lively contender, with Willie Mullins seeing his charge claim the Arkle Chase when obliging by a full eight and a half lengths and a repeat of this victory might be enough to land the spoils here. This horse looks the best each-way value in the race, with Edwardstone next in the betting.
