Commander’s Intent has been running well all season for trainer George Scott and returns to Newmarket after previously finishing second in a field of seven runners. The 12/1 chance performed well in the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes when trailing home favourite Distant Storm, with the horse also faring well at Baden Baden in Germany.

2024 Emirates Autumn Stakes Tips

Apples And Bananas has been clocking up the wins as a two-year-old and there could be more to come from this Joseph O’Brien-trained runner. The latest success came at The Curragh at the end of September, with the 5/2 shot winning the Goffs Million over seven furlongs after previously triumphing at Deauville.

Delacroix has been in the first two in all three races this term, with the horse finishing second out of four horses at Leopardstown in the middle of September. This came after a maiden success at the Curragh when expectedly romping home at short odds. However, some will prefer the chances of stablemate Rock Of Cashel.

This horse has been in the winners enclosure in one of his four outings this term, with this coming at Galway at the end of July. This was a two length success and the horse performed reasonably well at odds of 40/1 in the Vincent O’Brien Stakes, with Aftermath landing a success in the last outing and he could go well again.

The two-year-old was able to see off thirteen rivals when triumphing by five-and-a-half lengths, with the 5/6 favourite having previously finished second out of thirteen runners before finishing third in a competitive field of five at Doncaster. That was in the Group 2 Betfred Champagne Stakes and perhaps it merits an each-way wager.

2023 Autumn Stakes Tips

In terms of overall rating and price, there’s little to separate Ancient Wisdom and Arabian Crown when it comes to Saturday’s Autumn Stakes. The former was able to claim successive wins before finishing third last time out, with the season starting with a victory at Haydock Park in June where the runner won a Novice Stakes race.

Then came another easy Novice Stakes victory as the odds-on favourite at Newmarket, with a third placed finish coming in the Pat Eddery Stakes on 29 July. It could be that his strongest rival comes in the form of Arabian Crown who has landed consecutive wins when obliging at Sandown and then Salisbury for connections.

It will be interesting to see which of the runners is ridden by William Buick, with this being the preferred Godolphin jockey. It’s hard to separate the two runners based on the latest form, although Orne could be the fly in the ointment and this horse will be sent to post by John & Thady Gosden after an opening win at Kempton.

That victory came in the Unibet Zero Mission British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes on 22 September, with the horse achieving a half-length win over seven furlongs. Navy Seal comes next in the betting and this is an Aidan O’Brien-trained charge who ran under par last time out when finishing fourth in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes.
