Forever Young looks like the horse to beat when it comes to the UAE Derby, with the runner trading as the odds-on favourite to land a victory in this big money race. There have been three consecutive wins which means that the runner heads the betting market, with the latest of these triumphs coming in Riyadh in February.

Henry Adams also has the potential to go well, with Pandagate and George Tesoro also trading among the favourites. The race takes place on Saturday 30 March, with a purse of $2.5 million on the table for an encounter which has been won in recent years by Rebel’s Romance, Crown Pride and Derma Sotogake.

The runner was given a patient ride on that occasion over one mile, with the horse obliging with a victory by a head and has to be respected on latest form. However, Henry Adams is a decent each-way alternative and arrives with solid credentials of his own. The Aidan O’Brien-trained runner was last seen running a solid race at Newmarket.

Fourth place out of eight horses was a good effort in the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket, with the runner being sent off at 18/1 and he had to recover from a stumbling start to post a credible finish. Previously to this, there was another fourth-placed finish in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere and this form has to be respected.

2023 UAE Derby Tips

Cairo is one of the shortest-priced favourites when it comes to the Dubai World Cup racecard, with many punters wanting to back the Aidan O’Brien-trained charge who has previously impressed in many of his runs to date. The three-year-old looks highly progressive and it’s little surprise to see the horse trading as favourite to win the UAE Derby.

It was a facile win at Dundalk last time out although a more eye-catching performance came in the Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown over seven furlongs when the horse obliged as the 5/2 favourite and the connections will now hope that the horse can travel safely over to the United Arab Emirates before lining up in this encounter.

Goraiko is a Japanese raider with plenty of ability and it’s clear that the bookies are respecting a three-year-old who should be able to put on a good show in Meydan. We haven’t seen the horse run a huge amount, although there was a victory in a maiden race at Chukyo and there was also a win in the JBC Nishai Yusun.
