Munster National Betting Odds

What’s Up Darling is a talented eight-year-old, with the Gordon Elliott-trained charge being one of several from the same stable. Three Card Brag and Boston Rover could also go well over three miles, with You Oughta Know running for Willie Mullins. The seven-year-old could perform well after falling last time out.

Answer To Kayf returns for a seasonal debut, with a clutch of horses trading at similar odds. Aspurofthemoment has gone well for Gavin Cromwell this term, with Pride Of Place having been in the first two home in the past three encounters. Talk In The Park has been a fine performer this season, with the seven-year-old looking like each-way value.

2025 Munster National Handicap Chase Betting Tips

Limerick play host to a high-profile encounter in the form of the JT McNamara Munster National Handicap Chase on Sunday. There’s a big field set to line up and the favourite is What’s Up Darling. The eight-year-old is trained by Gordon Elliott and the horse has racked up consecutive successes. The latest effort was really impressive.

That came in the form of a ten-length success at Clonmel, with the 11/8 favourite performing really well over three miles. Staying the course should be no problem, with that coming after a success at Killarney. There was also a bright effort at Galway where the horse was able to run into the frame when finishing fourth out of sixteen runners.

You Oughta Know was a faller last time out although we might expect the Willie Mullins-trained charge to be in the final shake-up here. The seven-year-old was successful at Wexford Racecourse in a small field in August, with that coming after a couple of previously bright performances. Three Card Brag is another one that bears consideration.

The Gordon Elliott-trained runner was eighth on a seasonal debut before improving to finish second more recently. That came at Listowel where the horse was able to perform well in a big field. Boston Rover was very successful when racking up three straight wins this season and the six-year-old has won at Roscommon, Killarney and Gowran Park last time out.

2022 Munster National Tips

El Barra has been installed as the bookmaker favourite to win the 2022 Munster National, with Willie Mullins hoping to lay a market as he competes to be the top Irish trainer during the current National Hunt season. The eight-year-old was sent off as favourite in the Galway Plate at the end of July, although was more recently unseating his rider when Busselton won the Guinness Kerry National Handicap Chase.

Busselton certainly looks a good each-way shout for this race, particularly if you are able to get extra each-way places for the five-year-old. Joseph O’Brien’s runner might be progressive considering he’s only aged five right now, with the win at Listowel in September taking place over three miles and it was a fairly comfortable win in the end.

Darasso comes from the same stable and has four-and-a-half lengths to find on Busselton after that race, having previously finished second in the Tote Galway Plate. That was a narrow defeat over two miles and six furlongs, while we also have to respect the chances of Run Wild Fred and Frontal Assault.

The former was second to Galvin over three miles at Punchestown when running in the Irish Daily Star Chase, with that being a credible performance after falling in both the English and Irish Grand National. Front Assault enjoyed an impressive win at Galway at the beginning of October and could be primed for a big run for Gigginstown.
