The Ladbrokes Novice Chase could feature as many as nineteen runners, with the horses battling it out over two miles, five and a half furlongs. Willie Mullins looks likely to train the winner considering that there are a clutch of his horses at the head of the betting. Final Demand is a seven-year-old that merits serious respect after successive wins.

However, there could be plenty of others in the final shake-up. Kitzbuhel has secured back to back victories of his own this term. Another Mullins-trained six-year-old is Kaid d'Authie who could be a warm order from an each-way point-of-view. Romeo Coolio and The Big Westerner are seven-year-old contenders with a lively chance.

Can anything beat Final Demand in the Ladbrokes Novice Chase at Leopardstown? The horse has been installed as odds-on favourite to win the Grade One encounter over two miles, five and a half furlongs. The seven-year-old was last seen scoring at Limerick over the festive period, with the 1/3 chance taking well to the soft to heavy ground to achieve a comfortable win.

A few weeks previously, there was another facile win by thirteen lengths at Navan. Back in May, the horse was able to score at Punchestown when the charge was able to record a sixteen-length success. However, the horse was beaten into third place in the Turners Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and will be given a tough test here.

Kitzbuhel is another horse from the Mullins stable who could go well based on form this season. The Boxing Day win at Kempton Park was landed in the Kauto Star Novices' Chase, with the 13/8 favourite able to score over three miles. There was previously a Beginners Chase success over two miles and three furlongs at Punchestown.

Kaid d'Authie is another six-year-old who has plenty of promise. It's yet another Mullins chance who was one and a quarter lengths behind stablemate Kitzbuhel at Punchestown. That was over two miles and three furlongs, with the horse then achieving a New Year's Day success when landing a ten-length success at Fairyhouse.

2025 Ladbrokes Novice Chase Tips

Ballyburn is the one to beat when it comes to the Ladbrokes Novice Chase in this Dublin Racing Festival encounter, with the seven-year-old having won the Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival back in March. This was followed by a success in the Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown before running well last time out at Kempton in December.

A second placed finish behind Sir Gino occurred in the Wayward Lad Novices’ Chase over two miles, although Impaire Et Passe also has solid credentials. The horse has now registered four successive victories and there was that notable win in the Aintree Hurdle back in April where the horse triumphed by a nose.

Better Days Ahead has a chance for trainer Gordon Elliott and might merit an each-way wager, with the seven-year-old having earned his stripes when beating Slade Steel in a Beginners Chase at Navan. This was followed by a solid effort in a Long Distance Novice Chase at Leopardstown when being narrowly beaten.

Dancing City is a solid performer and there was a victory at Punchestown in December when fending off eight other runners. This came after a success at Punchestown in early May and the horse was able to win the Grade One Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree over three miles, half a furlong when triumphing by five and a half lengths.
