Djelo was able to land a victory in the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase and the seven-year-old is now aiming to pick up another notable win. There was plenty to like about a performance over three miles, with Pic D’orhy beaten by a single length and favourite Hewick finished well down the order. This came after a disappointing outing back in April when performing at Aintree.

The horse was unable to make an impression in the Bowl Chase and the runner also struggled to make an impact in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham. Jonbon might be beyond the peak of his powers and he was found wanting against Il Etait Temps at Sandown Park. There was also a defeat in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Festival and perhaps it will be another second-placed finish here. Saint Sam will also hope to make an impression over this distance and could be well suited to the trip.

Willie Mullins saddles a horse who achieved three consecutive runner-up spots at the back end of last season. The latest effort came at Fairyhouse in April, with the 4/1 shot running well on soft to heavy when narrowly missing out to Found A Fifty. That was in the Grade 2 Fairyhouse Chase although the horse previously underwhelmed as odds-on favourite in the previous two races.
