Tullyhill was pulled up last time out, with that coming after successive runner-up performances. There was a solid effort at Fairyhouse when finishing second behind Majborough and that was followed by finishing in the same position at the same course a month later. However, the course wasn’t completed at Thurles in early February.

O’Moore Park was third in his previous outing, with the Rich Ricci-owned charge having performed well against his odds in the Jack Richards Novices' Limited Handicap Chase. To only finish eight lengths off the pace deserves enormous credit and that came after a fourth-placed finish out of eleven horses at Gowran Park in January.

Bhaloo was an impressive winner at Newbury towards the end of March when scoring over two miles and four furlongs. Nicky Henderson will now be looking for his seven-year-old to perform well at Cheltenham, with the horse having been pulled up in three previous showings. Tyre Kicker is another one for the shortlist.

The Silver Trophy Handicap Chase takes place over two miles, four and a half furlongs, with no more than twelve runners lining up in a race where In Excelsis Deo is the short-priced favourite. The horse was fairly impressive when finishing fifth in the Plate Handicap Chase, with that coming in a field of twenty-one runners.

In fact, the horse has hit the frame in all three Cheltenham outings, although he did unseat his rider at Sandown in early February, with plenty of other contenders potentially in the running here. However, it has been four performances without a victory since having wind surgery.

Scarface could be the most interesting horse to back, with three victories coming in the past four races for the Joe Tizzard-trained runner. The seven-year-old was able to fend off six other competitors at Plumpton after doing the same at Sandown Park, with the horse returning after finishing fifth in this race last year.
