The Gordon Elliott-trained charge has been performing well since winning in Kilbeggan in April over two miles and three furlongs.

More recently, there have been victories at Limerick and Ballinrobe, with the latest being over two miles and six furlongs when winning a handicap hurdle, although it remains to be seen how the horse will perform back over the bigger obstacles. Marshalled is another runner that catches the eye and the nine-year-old is carrying 11-1.

Ben Haslam’s charge has already won at Newcastle Racecourse on the all-weather this season, with the horse winning at odds of 11/2 over two miles and four furlongs. Marshalled was then sent off as the 2/1 favourite in the Molson Coors Handicap Chase when going close to a victory when being narrowly beaten by Ubetya who also lines up in this encounter.

Ubetya is carrying an extra pound for this outing although the horse is not without a chance and Henry Brooke could be about to guide the runner to a victory. Trainer Jedd O’Keeffe was delighted by the upturn in form at Cartmel which came after some poor showings at Carlisle and Newcastle, with his jumping set to hold up again.
