Kerry National Betting Odds

We’re looking forward to the Kerry National Handicap Chase, with Listowel Racecourse hosting an encounter that is run over three miles. It’s a Grade 3 race which has attracted a number of star horses and that includes You Oughta Know. The horse could be favourably handicapped for a race where there is likely to be plenty of cut in the ground.

Gordon Elliott always has some lively contenders for a race like this and there are strong contenders in the form of Three Card Brag and What’s Up Darling. Pied Piper might also go well for the Irish handler although there are several horses at a shorter price. Jordans has solid form from last season and could be one to consider.

2025 Kerry National Handicap Chase Betting Tips

You Oughta Know runs for Willie Mullins and hasn’t been out of the first two in the previous three races. The seven-year-old was able to oblige at Wexford at the end of August and that came after finishing over two miles at the same track. There was also a success at Kilbeggan over two miles and four furlongs, so the stamina should be good for this contest.

Jordans can’t be discounted after some smart performances last term. The six-year-old was a solid performer when finishing runner-up out of seven horses at Aintree back in April. This was in the Mildmay Novices’ Chase and that came after a bright showing in the Plate Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Three Card Brag could be the pick of the Gordon Elliott-trained runners, with the eight-year-old having run reasonably well at Galway at the end of July. It was a decent effort as one of the outsiders and the same applied to his performance at Aintree in early April. It was no disgrace to finish eleventh in the Aintree Grand National.

What’s Up Darling is another from the Elliott stable with solid credentials. There was a nice victory at Killarney back in August when the horse fended off four other rivals. That came after the runner was able to score fourth in a field of sixteen at Galway. Busselton was third on a seasonal debut when running well at the same Irish track.

2024 Kerry National Tips

Perceval Legallois ran well at Galway at the end of July, finishing eighth out of twenty-two runners and the seven-year-old has the potential to feature high up in the order when it comes to this race. There was previously a solid performance at Punchestown in May when finishing second out of seventeen runners and this looks one for the shortlist.

Zanahiyr is another seven-year-old who has performed well this season and there has been a third and second-placed finish for the Gordon Elliott-trained charge. He also ran at Galway in that July race and registered a solid third-placed finish, with the horse performing well at the Cheltenham Festival when finishing fourth in the Turners’ Novice Chase.

Flooring Porter is an older horse who finished fifth last time out and that was in a seven-runner race at Killarney, with that coming after a solid effort at Aintree back in April. The horse previously ran well as a stayer and that included finishing second in the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, so the stamina is certainly there.

Amirite was ninth in that race at Galway, with the horse having previously finished runner-up in an encounter at Kilbeggan. Duffle Coat also has eye-catching form, finishing just half a length behind Pinkerton at Galway and that came after a victory at Ballinrobe towards the end of May, with the Gordon Elliott-trained horse capable of hitting the frame.

2023 Kerry National Tips

We’ve got a Grade 3 encounter on Wednesday afternoon, with the Kerry National being a handicap chase where there are a large number of horses can secure a victory. Ain’t That A Shame has been away from the track for half a year, with the Henry de Bromhead-trained runner having previously run in the Aintree Grand National and making it around the course.

Previously to this, the horse was able to oblige at Gowran Park, beating ten other runners in a Beginners’ Chase over two miles and four furlongs, with the charge finishing fourth at Leopardstown in the Paddy Power Chase last Christmas although some might think that Salvador Ziggy has more definite claims after that string of wins.

The seven-year-old has racked up three consecutive wins and Gordon Elliott will have his sights fixed on another success after August victories at Tramore and Killarney. When it came to the latter, there was only one other horse to beat, although there was plenty to like about a twelve-length success in the EY Chase.

Stealthy Tom claimed a handicap chase win at Killarney on his latest outing, with Enda Bolger training a JP McManus-owned runner who was previously second in the Midlands National Handicap Chase when running a fine race over three miles and one furlong. This came after a success at Roscommon over three miles and he’s one for the shortlist.

Listowel Racecourse is one of the most prestigious racecourses in Ireland and this is a track that is based in County Kerry. The biggest horse race that takes place at Listowel in the Guinness Kerry National, with this being run over a distance of three miles and it’s not dissimilar to the English Grand National and Irish Grand National.

You can compare the Guinness Kerry National betting odds and it always takes place on a Wednesday. This forms part of the Harvest Festival racecard, with over £200,000 in prize money up for grabs. You can expect to find this race taking place in September.

This Harvest Festival is quite unique by virtue of the fact that you can enjoy flat racing betting and National Hunt racing betting. This only second to the Galway Racing Festival when it comes to attendances, with spectators enjoying the chance to place win only and each-way horse racing bets.

The 2022 Guinness Kerry National took place on 21 September, with sixteen runners competing over the long-distance course. It was Busselton who was able to claim a victory at betting odds of 13/2 and many punters were able to get a horse racing price boost for this runner.

Those customers who backed Recite A Prayer or Gin On Lime were also able to achieve a return, with the former having a starting price of 28/1 and the latter was 22/1, while many bookmakers often pay out on five places or even six places. Look out for horse racing price boosts.
