Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Betting Odds

Trainer Gordon Elliott has saddled four winners of the Juvenile Handicap Hurdle and the latest of these triumphant horses was Jazzy Matty. This success came in 2023 although the past two renewals have seen trainer Joseph O'Brien saddle the champion. 2026 Hallgarten and Novum Wines Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Betting Tips

The race has been relocated to the third outing on Day One of the Festival, with In My Teens installed as one of the favourites to win. The Gavin Cromwell-trained horse unseated his rider at Fairyhouse when travelling well, although this came after a series of promising performances. There were solid efforts at Roscommon and Curragh back in the autumn, with another run at Punchestown in November.

Trainer Adam Nicol might have an ace up his sleeve in the form of Minella Study, especially when you consider the horse's recent strike rate. It's always worth paying attention to a runner's efforts at Cheltenham Racecourse, with the horse obliging at Prestbury Park in December by over six lengths.

That came after a Wetherby success at the end of October, with this being a juvenile hurdle victory on good ground. It remains to be seen whether the horse will line up in this clash or alternatively be pitched into the JCB Triumph Hurdle. Connections certainly have some good options with this horse.

Macktoad and Bertutea can also make an impact and they've also been priced among the favourites. The former runs for Gary & Josh Moore, with an early December success at Sandown Park potentially paving the way for more wins. This juvenile hurdle victory was achieved on soft ground and we could see the horse progressing as the season wears on.

Bertutea is going to be one of several Willie Mullins-trained horses in the field. It's clearly a charge with the potential to get better for owners Gigginstown, with the runner having impressed in a series of prep runs in France. As we get nearer to the Festival, we will get a clearer idea of the credentials and that includes some of the other favourites.

2025 Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Tips

It’s always hard to judge four-year-old horses considering that we’re assessing raw potential, although the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle is an interesting jigsaw puzzle. Stencil currently heads the betting and the horse finished second out of ten runners at Cheltenham when lining up at the end of January.

This was in the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle where the horse finished behind 1/2 favourite East India Dock. There could be more to come from a charge owned by JP McManus, although Galileo Dame looks like an interesting runner and he was recently second in a competitive encounter at Leopardstown.

This came after a similarly solid effort at the same track in late December, with Total Look trained by Gavin Cromwell and surely in with a decent each-way chance. In a competitive race at Punchestown at the end of January, the horse finished third out of six runners and that came after a decent showing at Cheltenham in mid-December.

Willy De Houelle runs for the aptly-named Willie Mullins and he’s got some experience under his belt after finishing fourth out of eight runners when outperforming his betting odds of 18/1. This was an improvement on a previous showing at Leopardstown, with the horse beginning his career in earnest with a win at Fairyhouse.

2024 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Tips

Anzadam is a French raider who could be in with a decent chance of landing victory according to the latest Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle odds. The four-year-old has enjoyed a couple of warm-up victories in France, with a win coming in September when triumphing in Bordeaux before a later triumph over two miles and one furlong in Compiegne.

Willie Mullins is never far away with one of the front runners for a Cheltenham race and Bunting could go well for the Irish handler, with the four-year-old owned by Tony Bloom who has also experienced success with Energumene. There was a Boxing Day win at Limerick for the horse who was able to win by eight lengths on that occasion.

Kargese was second in a previous race at Leopardstown when running a fine race over two miles, with Kala Conti marginally too strong in the end for this Boxing Day tussle. It was a solid run on yielding ground and Willie Mullins will be confident that this horse can make a good showing after previously running well in France.

Mullins might also have Salvator Mundi lining up in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle and this horse was second in his only outing to date. Sent off at betting odds of 9/1 in the Prix Wild Monarch at Auteil, the horse handled the heavy conditions well over one mile and seven furlongs to suggest there is more to come here.

2023 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Betting Tips

Tekao is the betting favourite to win the 2023 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, with the four-year-old arguably trading at a shorter price by virtue of being trained by Willie Mullins. After all, the horse has only won one of his previous three races, with the runner finishing third in the Donohue Marquees Spring Juvenile Hurdle although he outran his odds at 16/1.

Previously to this, the same runner triumphed in a Maiden Hurdle and there is a market confidence that the horse can finish in the frame. However, four-year-olds are largely unproven and perhaps Nusret could the horse to back, with the Joseph O’Brien-trained charge having won the Coral Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton Park.

There could be more to come from a runner who has a wealth of experience for a horse so young, although Byker also comes highly commended. There was a win in the Cheltenham Trials Day At Naas February 11th Maiden Hurdle before finishing third in a Novice Hurdle at the same course at Naas Racecourse.

Sir Allen is bidding for a third consecutive victory and the Andrew Slattery-trained runner claimed a Novice Hurdle win and that included beating Byker into third place, with the same horse winning a Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown Racecourse. Customers should wait for the weights to be announced and look for extra places on their each-way bets.

2022 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Tips

Gaelic Warrior looks to be the leading contender when it comes to the 2022 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle betting odds, with the horse having recently been switched to the Willie Mullins yard and it appears as though this young runner could be the horse to beat.

When it comes to Cheltenham juvenile handicap betting tips, it is worth bearing in mind that there isn’t a great deal of racing form to go on. This four-year-old has had three outings at Auteil and much depends on the noises coming from connections before deciding whether to place a Cheltenham bet.

Champion Green Could Be Best Each-Way Bet

There are some better Cheltenham betting tips than the market leader and Champion Green could be a cracking each-way selection. This is a four-year-old who has much more robust form and that includes a victory in the Naas Racecourse Maiden Hurdle over one mile and seven furlongs.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained horse was sent off as the 4/6 betting favourite on that occasion and claimed a three length win after making all the running. There appears to be more to come from a horse who was able to keep the opposition at bay throughout that contest and there’s plenty of other experience to speak of.

The horse finished second in the Eden Capital 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle over two miles on heavy ground and that Boxing Day performance was pretty fair, while the fact that Mark Walsh will be on the JP McManus horse is a big plus.

The Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle is also known as the Fred Winter and this race was inaugurated in 2005, with this taking place over a distance of two miles and this handicap encounter takes place on the Wednesday of the Cheltenham Festival.

Paul Nicholls has been the most successful trainer for this race and could be worth following, with the Englishman obliging with Sanctuaire, Qualando and Diego du Charmil, although Gordon Elliott has also scored a couple of winners.

The Irish trainer claimed the spoils with Flaxen Flare and Veneer of Charm, with the latest runners and riders assembling for this Juvenile Handicap Hurdle and it’s often the case that any horse is trading at single figure odds.

Wolf Prince is the market leader at the time of writing, with the four-year-old having run seven times since 19 August and it appears as though the Gavin Cromwell-trained horse could well be in the frame.

We most recently saw the horse winning at Fairyhouse when obliging as the odds-on favourite, with the charge acting well on soft ground and we’re expecting something similar when March comes around.

Mick Pastor is another horse that we’re expecting to line up in the Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, with Paul Nicholls planning on another raid in this race and the four-year-old could be the fourth winner of the race for this trainer.

The horse was trading as the 6/4 favourite for a run at Ludlow in a Juvenile Hurdle and won fairly comfortably, with Barry Geraghty likely to be on board and the Irish jockey is among the best in the business.

Sir Psycho also offers a viable alternative and runs for that successful trainer that is Paul Nicholls, with the latest victory being an enormous win at Exeter on New Year’s Day which really laid down a marker.
