There’s a wide open feel about the 2025 Prince Of Wales's Stakes, with Los Angeles installed as the market leader to win. The Aidan O’Brien-trained charge has racked up successive wins this term and the four-year-old has solid credentials. However, there’s another talented four-year-old in the form of Economics.

William Haggas saw his charge rack up a number of wins as a three-year-old last term, with Anmaat an older adversary who has the potential to make a big impression here. Map Of Stars has also been in the winners’ enclosure on two occasions this term, with Ombudsman also having to be respected after a victorious streak.

2025 Prince Of Wales's Stakes Betting Tips

Los Angeles has recorded back-to-back successes this season and perhaps a third victory is in the offing when it comes to the Prince Of Wales's Stakes. This Group One encounter is run over one mile and two furlongs, with the four-year-old last seen winning at the Curragh. The 9/4 favourite was able to triumph in the Tattersalls Gold Cup.

That came after a previous success at the same Irish track. Sent off as the 10/11 favourite on that occasion, there was a victory in the Mooresbridge Stakes. However, the charge did only finish ninth out of eleven runners in the Champion Stakes back in October. Perhaps there are other viable alternatives when it comes to this race.

Economics is an interesting runner in this race. William Haggas trains a horse who racked up victories at Newbury, York, Deauville and Leopardstown in 2024. The latest success came in the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes. The 7/4 favourite was able to score a narrow victory, with the horse last seen finishing sixth in the Champion Stakes.

Anmaat could certainly be in the final shake-up in this Royal Ascot Day Two race. Owen Burrows trains a horse who scored as a surprise 40/1 shot on Champions Day. That half a length success came before a narrow second place behind Los Angeles at the Curragh. This runner could be the each-way value in this encounter.

2024 Prince of Wales’s Stakes Tips

Passenger has been installed as the favourite to win the Prince of Wales’s Stakes and the market leader could definitely be the one to beat. The four-year-old has an official rating of 111 and there was plenty to like about his performance at Chester in May when triumphing in the Huxley Stakes over one mile, two and a half furlongs.

There was previously a success in the Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor, with a nice success coming in a Group 3 encounter when the horse was able to edge past odds-on favourite West Wind Blows. The same horse also ran in last year’s Betfred Derby although the runner was only able to finish twelfth in that race.

Perhaps White Birch is a viable alternative, with John Joseph Murphy’s runner having secured a hat-trick of wins and they were all achieved at the Curragh. The most recent of these came in the Tattersalls Gold Cup over one mile, two and a half furlongs in a Group One encounter where a three-length triumph was achieved over Auguste Rodin.

Previously to this, there was a success in the Mooresbridge Stakes and the horse was able to achieve a four-length victory on that occasion. That came after winning the Alleged Stakes over one mile and two furlongs. Auguste Rodin runs for Aidan O’Brien and it will also be interesting to see whether Inspiral lines up for this encounter.
