Doncaster Mile Betting Odds

Sheza Alibi has been installed as the favourite to win the Doncaster Mile, with the horse having scored a string of victories. The three-year-old will take some beating after triumphs at Flemington, Randwick and Caulfield (twice). However, Autumn Glow is operating at a similar price and can't be easily discounted.

The similarly-named Autumn Boy is also among the favourites, with Evaporate and Linebacker also capable of running big races. It's a one mile encounter and an enormous purse is available, with the bookies offering some fantastic odds right now for this Australian race. Watch out for price movements as we get closer to the off.

2026 Doncaster Mile Betting Tips

The Doncaster Mile takes place in early April and Sheza Alibi is a hot contender for the race. We really like what the three-year-old has achieved to date including four straight successes. The latest win came at Randwick recently where the horse was able to score as the 11/10 favourite over exactly the same distance.

Previously to this, there was a double landed at Caulfield. There was a mid-November triumph in the Sandown Guineas at short odds and that came before a Group 2 success at the same course. The success in the Angus Armanasco Stakes was highly commendable and was enjoyed over seven furlongs on good ground.

Autumn Glow has been a serial winner and five successive victories marks the four-year-old as a potential winner of the Doncaster Mile. All of the horse's successes have been at Randwick, with Chris Waller training a runner who got home in the Verry Elleegant Stakes on good to soft ground, with more to come from this charge.

Autumn Boy is a younger Chris Waller-trained adversary that could go well at a bigger price than his stablemate. He has three lengths to find on Sheza Alibi after the pair clashed at Randwick in early March, with that coming after finishing third in a field of seven runners at Rosehill in the Kia Ora Hobartville Stakes which was a Group 2 encounter.

2021 Doncaster Mile betting tips

Much depends on whether Aegon lines up for the Doncaster Handicap and it has to be admitted that this talented three-year-old has multiple entries for a whole host of autumn races and it’s possible that we won’t see him compete against some of the more probable runners.

Probabeel looks like a better horse upon which to hang your hat, with the four-year-old having warmed up nicely with a couple of victories at Caulfield Racecourse in February, suggesting that the charge could be a leading contender for this encounter.

Trainer Jamie Richards saw the horse oblige in the Lamaro's Sth Geoffrey Bellmaine Stakes in early February over six furlongs before the horse really rose to the fore when winning the Lamaro's Sth Melbourne Futurity Stakes which was a Group 1 encounter which took place on 20 February.

Probabeel also ran well last October despite finishing down the order in the fiendishly difficult Ladbrokes Cox Plate and has to be respected, although there are many others in the field with a live chance and that includes Colette.

Colette is a Godolphin horse trained by James Cummings and he finished a narrow second in the TAB Chipping Norton Stakes when being touched off by winner Verry Elleegant although that took place at Royal Randwick Racecourse so there’s every chance of seeing the horse back and firing this time around.
