Godolphin Mile Betting Odds

Commissioner King is the market leader when it comes to the Godolphin Mile, with the six-year-old having been an impressive winner at Meydan at the end of February. Bhupat Seemar's horse could take all the beating, although there are others in with a chance and we can't disregard the chances of Mendelssohn Bay who is trading at a bigger price.

There's then a jump up in the prices to Generous Tipper and Banishing who are a potentially strong each-way bet, with David Of Athens and Telemark also in the mix. Four-year-old horses have a good recent record in this race, with three of the past four renewals seeing them land the spoils along with one five-year-old.

2026 Godolphin Mile Betting Tips

Commissioner King has shortened in the betting to win the 2026 Godolphin Mile, with the runner proving to be a strong four-length winner at Meydan a month ago. The six-year-old obliged as the 9/4 favourite in the Burj Nahar, with Bhupat Seemar seeing his horse bounce back from finishing runner-up at Meydan a month previously.

The winner of that race was Mendelssohn Bay, with the 3/1 shot having obliged in the Firebreak Stakes. He was able to win that race by nearly three lengths, with the latest effort being altogether more disappointing. In the Al Maktoum Classic, the runner fell flat to finish second last in a field of nine horses over one mile and two furlongs.

Generous Tipper was in the same race as the above and managed a better fourth placed finish. Many will think that the Hamad Al Jehani-trained runner is a solid each-way contender when you consider that there was an excellent runner-up spot being bagged in a dirt handicap at Meydan despite the horse being sent off at odds of 40/1.

Banishing was sent off at a massive 80/1 at Riyadh in February, with the horse performing well to finish eighth in a field of thirteen. That was in the competitive Saudi Cup over one mile and one furlong, with that coming after a solid effort in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational. We're expecting the horse to be a strong contender here.

2024 Godolphin Mile Tips

Saudi Crown is a four-year-old with big potential and the horse finished third out of fourteen runners last time out. This was an encounter at Riyadh where the 25/1 shot came within a whisker of landing a success. The horse actually led in this race and only weakened towards the end of the exchange.

The fact that the Saudi Cup was over one mile and one furlong means that perhaps we can expect more over a shorter distance, with Senor Buscador and Ushba Tesoro finishing ahead of Saudi Crown on that occasion. Previously to this was a success at Fair Grounds back in January where the 7/10 favourite was able to beat five other rivals.

Isolate is trained by Doug Watson and the horse was the winner of the Godolphin Mile twelve months ago, with the runner claiming a five and a half length success. The fact that this horse has the course and distance stands him in good stead, with the horse then delivering the goods in the Al Maktoum Mile.

However, the horse could only manage sixth place in the Saudi Cup last time out when being sent off at 25/1 and needs to find improvement to beat Saudi Crown on this occasion. Swing Vote and Walk Of Stars are other runners who could end up running a big race and it’s worth looking at the price movement before the off here.

2023 Godolphin Mile Tips

Although the field and final runners remains unknown at the time of writing, we are looking forward to the 2023 Godolphin Mile and we might see the return of a former champion lining up. Secret Ambition was able to score at odds of 12/1 as an eight-year-old when kicking six lengths clear of Golden Goal and he deserves his place here.

The horse has had a mixed time of things recently. There was a recent win in the Jebel Ali Classic, with the B Seemar-trained charge able to edge Tamborrada and that was over seven furlongs. Prior to this run, there was an underwhelming performance in the Burj Nahaar over one mile although we can perhaps draw a line in this Group 3 performance.

Richard Mullen will be back in the saddle for this race and the jockey has previously steered the former champ to some of his better performances. Bhupat Seemar certainly feels as though his runner can reproduce former glories and the fact that there have now been twelve career wins means that we have to afford plenty of respect here.
