David O’Meara trains a five-year-old and a four-year-old who are operating at similar odds, with the former finishing second out of nineteen runners at Ascot in the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes. Sent off at odds of 25/1, the horse produced a bright performance, with Iron Lion having scored at Haydock and Doncaster this season.

La Yakel could deliver trainer William Haggas with another winner at Haydock Park on Saturday, with the horse being sent off as the 100/30 favourite for the bet365 Old Rowley Cup Handicap on 7 October, with the runner having finished fourth out of sixteen runners.
