Desert Flower is going to go off favourite in this two-year-old contest, with the horse obliging at Newmarket on his debut when being sent off at 5/2. It was a victory over seven furlongs where the runner was able to achieve a win by over three lengths, with this being followed up by a facile win in a Novice Stakes at Newmarket.

It will be interesting to see how the horse performs over a longer distance, with January lining up as the second favourite and Aidan O’Brien has seen his runner perform well this season. The two-year-old has landed two victories from four outings, with the latest success coming at Tipperary where the horse obliged as the 1/2 favourite.

Flight runs for Ollie Sangster and finished second to Desert Flower at Newmarket in July, with this coming after a runner-up performance at Newbury towards the end of June. There was then a victory where a four length triumph was achieved when the runner obliged at Sandown over seven furlongs at the end of August.

Ecstatic could also be in the frame based on the latest showing, with the horse winning a fifteen-runner race where the charge was able to secure the spoils by over three lengths. Previously to this, there was a third-placed finish, while Anshoda has claimed two wins from three outings this term and could be worth a second look.

Darnation should be capable of running well over a mile at Doncaster Racecourse on Thursday, with the two-year-old beginning her career with a third-placed finish at Haydock Park. Better was to follow at the end of July where the horse was able to beat eleven other runners at Thirsk Racecourse, with a victory then coming at Goodwood.

See The Fire has similarly managed one win from one appearance.
