Navan Racecourse – bet on Irish National Hunt races

Many racing punters enjoy placing bets on the Irish horse racing that takes place at Navan Racecourse, with this track situated in County Meath and there are race meetings that take place there during the entire National Hunt horse racing season.

Owned by Horse Racing Ireland, this track features a number of Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 races throughout the calendar year, with the notable horse races featuring on the Navan racecard between November and March, although there are a number of Flat race meetings at this track too.

Bet on the Navan Race Cards for National Hunt Meetings

The high-profile racing at Navan begins in November as far as the National Hunt horse season is concerned, with the Lismullen Hurdle, Fortria Chase and Monksfield Novice Hurdle among the Grade 2 encounters which take centre stage during this particular month.

In December, we have the Tara Hurdle and also the Navan Novices’ Hurdle which is the Group 1 race on the Navan racecard and it’s fantastic to place bets on the two mile and four furlong encounter which has seen several high profile horses land a victory.

The race first took place in 1999 over two miles before the distance was gradually expanded and we’ve seen trainer Willie Mullins dominate through saddling champions such as Boston Bob, Pont Alexandre and Briar Hill.

We traditionally see Sunday meetings taking place at Navan Racecourse and that includes some of the winter racing in January, with the Boyne Hurdle, Ten Up Novice Chase and Flyingbolt Novice Chase among the leading races.

The Flat horse racing season in Ireland starts in April and there’s a big meeting at Navan Racecourse which sees the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes take place, while there’s also the Group 2 Vintage Crop Stakes occurring a few weeks later.
