2026 Epsom Derby Festival Betting Odds

The Epsom Derby Festival includes two days of high-quality flat racing. We’ve got two of the five classics in the form of the Oaks and the Derby. This are hugely historic races which are popular from a betting point-of-view. The latest horse racing odds suggest that we’ll have a competitive betting market for each encounter. Day One – Friday 6 June

There are seven races when it comes to Ladies Day on Friday 6 June. The action starts with the Nyetimber Surrey Stakes at 1.30pm and it’s followed by the Betfred British EBF Woodcote Stakes. However, the excitement ramps up when the Betfred Coronation Cup takes place as the third race of the day.

This is a Group One encounter where Calandagan is the strong favourite to land a victory. The four-year-old is a French raider with solid credentials and comes into the race after finishing second in the Longines Dubai Sheema Classic. The fact that the horse has now secured three consecutive runner-up placings suggests that there could be a better value bet.

Aidan O’Brien has a very realistic chance of landing a victory in the Coronation Cup. Jan Brueghel might be the Irishman’s best prospect of getting the job done, although Los Angeles is trading at a similar price. Illinois could also be a contender over one mile and four furlongs.

After the Betfred Nifty 50 Handicap Stakes offers customers with a chance to find a well-weighted horse, we have the spectacle that is the Betfred Oaks. Desert Flower has an unblemished record and the Charlie Appleby-trained charge heads the market for this race. After a couple of “Dash” handicap races, we then come to the Epsom Derby. This is a huge money flat race steeped in history. This is run over one mile and four furlongs, with trainer Aidan O’Brien having the first two in the betting market right now. The Lion In Winter could be the one who passes the post first despite an underwhelming performance at York last time out.

A sixth-placed finish in the Dante Stakes at York was unexpected over one mile, two and a half furlongs, with the horse sent off as the odds-on favourite. There were previously impressive victories at York and the Curragh. Perhaps Delacroix is an exciting alternative, with the three-year-old having racked up a couple of successes this season.

Pride Of Arras and Ruling Court can also be considered from an each-way betting point-of-view. Both have been in winning form coming into the Derby but this is clearly the most competitive type of encounter you can find. The first four in the market take up a lion’s share of the betting although there could be a bold run from Damysus too.
